Founded in the 13th century, Cumalıkızlık was first a charitable village. Its historic heritage is preserved very well and architecture from the Ottoman times made it to this day. Cumalıkızlık is often used as a set to historical movies or TV shows. Famous CUmalıkızlık Ethnography Museum is located here, where objects from the village’s past are displayed. Houses are painted in yellow, white, blue or purple. Between the houses, you can see very narrow streets. Every June, there is a Raspberry Festival happening in Cumalıkızlık.
